WICSO MEMBERSHIP WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE

This document outlines the procedure for members wishing to withdraw their membership from WICSO. Members are encouraged to review the implications of withdrawal before proceeding.

WITHDRAWAL NOTICE PERIOD

Members wishing to withdraw must submit a formal written notice at least 90 days before the intended date of withdrawal. The notice period allows for the orderly transfer of responsibilities and settlement of any outstanding obligations.

REASONS FOR WITHDRAWAL
-----------------------
Members may withdraw for any of the following reasons:
1. Organisational restructuring or dissolution
2. Change in organisational focus or mandate
3. Merger with another member organisation
4. Relocation to a non-member country
5. Voluntary cessation of scouting/guiding activities
6. Other reasons deemed acceptable by the Executive Council

WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE

Step 1: Submit a formal letter of intent to withdraw, signed by the organisation's authorised representative, addressed to the WICSO Secretary General.

Step 2: Complete the Membership Withdrawal Clearance Form, which includes:
- Confirmation of no outstanding membership fees or dues
- Return of any WICSO-issued materials or resources
- Settlement of any outstanding financial obligations

Step 3: Attend an exit interview (may be conducted via video conference) with a WICSO representative.

Step 4: Receive written confirmation of membership cessation from the WICSO Secretariat.

CONSEQUENCES OF WITHDRAWAL

- Loss of voting rights in the General Assembly
- Ineligibility for WICSO accreditation and training programs
- Removal from the WICSO Member Directory
- Forfeiture of any membership fees paid for the current period
- Return of any WICSO grants or scholarships unspent

REINSTATEMENT

Former members seeking reinstatement may apply as new members. The Executive Council may, at its discretion, waive certain requirements for former members who withdrew in good standing within the past two years.
