WHAT IS WICSO ACCREDITATION?

WICSO Accreditation is a quality assurance system that recognises and enhances the quality of scouting and guiding programs offered by member organisations. It provides a framework for continuous improvement and demonstrates a commitment to excellence.

ACCREDITATION LEVELS

- Provisional Accreditation: Entry-level recognition for organisations meeting minimum standards
- Full Accreditation: Comprehensive recognition for organisations meeting all standards
- Advanced Accreditation: Highest level for organisations demonstrating exemplary practice

THE ACCREDITATION PROCESS

1. Expression of Interest: Submit your organisation's interest to the WICSO Accreditation Committee
2. Self-Study: Conduct a thorough internal assessment using the Self-Study Guide
3. Submission: Submit your self-study report and supporting evidence
4. External Review: Host a team of trained WICSO reviewers for an on-site or virtual visit
5. Decision: The Accreditation Committee reviews findings and makes a decision
6. Recognition: Accredited organisations receive a certificate and are listed in the WICSO Directory

TIMELINE

The accreditation process typically takes 12-18 months from expression of interest to decision.

ELIGIBILITY

All Full and Associate members of WICSO in good standing are eligible to apply for accreditation.
